The Glock 23 is designed for both open and concealed carry, offering a compact profile and lightweight construction while maintaining a significant magazine capacity. The Gen5 model features a flared magazine well with an enlarged funnel, a Glock Marksman Barrel (GMB) that incorporates more aggressive polygonal rifling, a target-style crown, and tighter chamber specifications. Additionally, ambidextrous slide stop levers enhance ergonomics for left-handed users and those shooting with their support hand. The design eliminates finger grooves and incorporates the Safe Action System, which ensures that safeties disengage sequentially as the trigger is pulled and automatically re-engage upon release. The enlarged floor plate facilitates easier magazine removal, and the customizable frame size includes backstraps in two sizes along with a beavertail.

The adjustable backstrap system allows users to modify the grip circumference to accommodate their hand size. The Modular Optic System (MOS) features a slide that is precisely machined to support the mounting of popular optic sights.

With various adapter plates available for separate purchase, users can swiftly and effortlessly attach miniature red dot sights. The package includes one adapter plate, three magazines, a magazine loader, a cleaning kit, a pistol case, and a gun lock.
