The Ruger Mark IV 22/45 is designed with a straightforward one-button takedown mechanism, facilitating rapid and efficient field-stripping as well as thorough cleaning from chamber to muzzle. By pressing a button located at the rear of the frame, the barrel-receiver assembly can be tilted upward and detached from the grip frame without the need for any tools.

This pistol is equipped with a precision-molded polymer grip frame that features a serrated front strap and a checkered backstrap. It boasts a cold hammer-forged bull barrel, an ergonomic bolt stop, and checkered grip panels styled after the 1911 for a secure hold. The contoured ejection port and easily graspable bolt ears enhance usability. Additionally, the receiver is drilled and tapped to accommodate a Weaver or Picatinny-style rail for straightforward optics mounting. The ambidextrous manual safety can be converted to a left-side-only configuration using the provided washer. A push-button magazine release is located on the left side of the frame, and a magazine disconnect feature ensures that the pistol cannot discharge when the magazine is removed. The package includes two 10-round magazines.
